Exhibition: 3D map of London at The Building Centre

Back in September, we held our Housing Challenge launch in The Building Centre during the London Design Festival. Now on display at The Building Centre is the largest ever 3D model of London, commissioned by New London Architecture and sponsored by OS. The exhibition is free to visit and within a short distance of Goodge Street tube station. The model’s full digital system will be live from 21 May.

The model is 12.5m long and at a scale of 1:2000, featuring 19 boroughs, around 170,000 buildings, and covering over 80 square kilometers of Greater London. It extends from King’s Cross in the north to Peckham in the south, and the Royal Docks in the east to Old Oak Common in the west.

Surrounding the model are video displays and five interactive films, including on buildings planned or under construction.

Updates will be made to the model bi-annually.
