Launching the challenge

Chris Parker

In a recent post we described launching the first GeoVation Challenge of the year at an Ordnance Survey hosted seminar: “Underpinning Innovation through Geography”, held at Science and Innovation 2010.

The seminar was chaired by David Simoes-Brown of 100%Open and speakers were: John Sheridan of the National Archive and data.gov.uk; Huw Davies, a key member of   Warwickshire County Council’s OpenData Project; and Sam Henderson from Agrarian Renaissance all of whose presentation are posted here. Following Sam’s presentation on the agroecological thinking behind Britain’s ability to feed itself, GeoVation’s Chris Parker launched the first GeoVation Challenge: How Can Britain Feed Itself? We’ll post other podcasts on the blog, shortly.
