Geovation Announces 19th Cohort on Accelerator Programme

By

Geovation, Ordnance Survey’s (OS) geospatial innovation hub, welcomes the next cohort of GeoTech and PropTech startups to join the award-winning Accelerator Programme.

The Accelerator Programme, which is also supported and funded by HM Land Registry (HMLR), is designed to provide start-ups with specialist support to help grow their businesses, while developing innovative and sustainable solutions that can deliver significant impact and boost the economy.

The Programme includes a bespoke package of equity-free funding, a 12-month residency in the Geovation hub (6 months of which includes intensive support from industry experts), workshops, coaching, and access to cutting-edge data from OS and HMLR.

Many of the startups are made up of founders and entrepreneurs who are at the pre-seed stage and benefit from access to exclusive datasets from OS, HM Land Registry, and other partners, crucial for their business development.

This latest cohort aims to problem-solve a new set of challenges using software solutions and technology to improve public safety, environmental challenges, property transactions and building management.

Our new PropTech startups

The PropTech branch of the programme is supported by HMLR, and the start-ups accepted onto the programme are:

Scorify – Providing a credit score for properties to help property owners, managers and tenants monitor the condition of the property during tenancy and encourage regular maintenance.

Crystal Roof – Empowering home seekers and businesses with reliable data to make well-informed decisions about where to live, invest, or develop.

Home Sale Information – Providing an innovative platform, HomeSalePack, to simplify and streamline the process of buying and selling property by digitalising the conveyancing process.

We have some very ambitious plans over the coming years that involve transforming our data, modernising the way we make it accessible and creating resilient, fully digital public services. We know that there will be significant challenges along the way, and therefore it’s critical we work collaboratively with the property industry to turn those plans into reality. I’m so looking forward to including the Geovation PropTech community in this exciting venture and testing out all the innovative ideas that come from it.

Lynne Nicholson, Deputy Director for Data at HM Land Registry

Our new GeoTech startups

The GeoTech branch of the programme is supported by OS, and the start-ups accepted onto the programme are:

Local Energy Systems – Helping organisations reach net zero through decentralised energy by improving accuracy of site assessments.

Floodwise Group – Protecting homeowners and insurers from flooding by bringing together advances in flood defence technology, flood monitoring and alerting, and logistics.

Safest Way – A proactive approach to improve pedestrian safety using data analysis to highlight any potential threats before they arise.

Iodo – A software solution enabling intelligent and adaptable management and optimisation of last-mile deliveries.

We look forward to supporting the next wave of founders and startups as they tackle some of the most pressing challenges in the GeoTech and PropTech sectors through the power of geospatial data.

At Geovation, our programme is designed to offer support and access to industry experts, cutting-edge technology, and a vibrant community of like-minded entrepreneurs, empowering startups to build an environmentally and socially sustainable future for all.

Through the years, we have witnessed more than 150 startups make significant impacts in their fields, creating thousands of jobs and securing substantial funding, of which over 75% came through the Accelerator Programme. This cohort will join a dynamic ecosystem of future leaders that are making a positive impact on the economy.
