Working with Evidence House

Earlier this year, the 10 Downing Street Data Science team launched a highly innovative new initiative: Evidence House.

It aims to deliver solutions to cross-cutting problems in public service delivery using data, whilst upskilling government’s internal data and AI capability.

The team at Geovation were lucky enough to have the opportunity to share our expertise with Evidence House during a hackathon they organised last month. The Hackathon brought some of the brightest minds in public sector innovation together to develop solutions to tackle online crime and the results were quite incredible!

In just 2.5 days teams formed, developed, and presented a range of solutions which were all very different, but had one thing in common: they used data to drive innovation.

We were particularly pleased to see OS data, and that of our partner HMLR, used to underpin some of the solutions created and it served to highlight how important geospatial and location data can be used in driving public sector innovation.

It really is exciting to have the privilege to help support innovation activities that will drive positive impact.

We can’t wait to collaborate at more events in the future!
