We’re thrilled to announce that Geovation won the award for the Incubator or Accelerator Programme Award category at the prestigious Go:Tech Awards .22!
It is an incredible honour to be recognised as the Incubator or Accelerator of the year and a remarkable achievement for our team, partners and start-ups that contribute to the success of our Accelerator.
About GoTech Awards
The Go:Tech Awards.22 took place at an in-person event on Thursday May 19 at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. Some of the Geovation team and our start-ups attended the event and celebrated our success, as well as the other winners and finalists’ achievements.
There were awards in 14 categories up for grabs and a record number of entries meant hundreds of applications were overseen by the Go:Tech Awards’ expert and independent judging panel.
Business Leader’s Go:Tech Awards celebrate businesses and entrepreneurs who lead the way in technology and innovation across the UK. From CleanTech pioneers and tech start-ups to the advanced engineering giants, the awards were deliberately structured to showcase businesses of all sizes across the whole of the UK.
The Incubator or Accelerator of the year award was looking for a Programme that plays a pivotal role in supporting companies in the technology eco-system, and some of the leading businesses in the tech sector that have benefitted from engaging with the finalists in the category. The judges were impressed by the Geovation Accelerator Programme that supports GeoTech and PropTech.
It would not have been possible without our amazing team, especially our Accelerator Manager, Valentina Podda who said about winning the award:
“I feel so proud to have supported over 50 founders through the Accelerator Programme.
It’s been amazing to be recognised for all the hard work, passion and effort I put into designing, and running the Accelerator Programme, especially through the ups and downs of the pandemic.
I want to thank the whole Geovation team for their help and a special thank you to Caroline Bray from HM Land Registry for her support and to all the founders who have joined me on this journey.”
Carly Morris, Head of Geovation, said: “We are delighted to have won the Incubator or Accelerator Programme Award at the fantastic Go:Tech Awards.
“We were up against some extremely tough competition, including PiLabs, Setsquared and Huckletree, which makes this award mean even more to us. It’s further proof that our programmes are market leading.
“We have supported over 130 location-data and PropTech start-ups through our Accelerator Programme and those start-ups have created 1,759 jobs and raised more than £115m. We are more determined than ever to support start-ups to tackle challenges and find solutions to build a commercially, environmentally, and socially sustainable future for everyday citizens.
“So this is a great accolade to all of the hard work that goes into building and delivering Geovation and I’m incredibly proud of the Geovation team, today and every day!”
