Housing challenge – over to the judges

Bright ideas stick manThank you all for posting your great ideas in the GeoVation Challenge ‘How can we enable people in Britain to live in better places?’. There were 43 really good ideas offfered in response to the housing problems we identifed and posted between 10 September 2014 and 19 November 2014. During this time 141 new people registered on the GeoVation Community.

The next stage is for the judging panel to start reading all of your ideas and select which of these offer the best solution to the housing challenge theme and are innovative, use technology, good design and of course, use Ordnance Survey geographical information and Land Registry licensable data in the solution.  The judges will be meeting on 10 January and soon after we’ll announce the finalists to be invited to GeoVation Camp in Southampton over the weekend 16 -18 January 2015.

Ordnance Survey and Land Registry will be offering a slice of £101,000 to help develop the best housing challenge ideas.
