In the latest instalment of our Meet the Founder Series, we meet the founders of Lairvue who aim to revolutionise the process of booking home viewings.
Q: Who are the founders behind Lairvue, and what is your background?
A: Cheick Adebayo who has a background in international business development and strategy and Edmund Ojofeitimi with a background in music management and artist development.
Q: Tell us the story behind your startup – why did you start your company?
A: Whilst we were looking for places to live, we found it difficult to arrange and book suitable viewing times with the landlords. We saw there was a gap in the market to facilitate viewings for prospective renters so we decided to come up with a solution to solve this problem.
Q: What does success look like for you?
A: To be the UK’s largest viewing and home servicing platform within the next 36 months.
Q: What’s your biggest achievement so far?
A: Finding and developing a local music artist out of Suffolk and signing him on a four album partnership deal with Warner Music Group.
Q: What are your plans for your startup over the next six months?
A: 1.Getting the prototype successfully completed and tested
2. Getting the final version of the platform completed by the developers
3. Signing up estate agents
4. Signing up landlords
5. Signing up viewing agents
6. Launching the platform only in London
7. Testing the market and collating feedback and analyse what is working and what is not.
Q: Tell us something interesting about yourself?
A: After I graduated from university, I travelled to West Africa and saw there was a great desire from the locals to own smartphones at an affordable cost. I went to china and managed to develop and build a smart phone to suit the local West African market.
