First of its kind outdoor adventure game challenge launches in London

Three years ago, we announced that we were looking for the next Pokémon Go. Fast forward three years and Onigo, who joined Geovation in October 2018, has launched Mission Camden. A free-to-play 10-week adventure game challenge, Mission Camden aims to get people outdoors and active.

From vanquishing ghosts in Regent’s Park to preventing an alien invasion in Camden Lock, people can play up to five immersive scavenger hunt games! To complete the game, teams of 2-6 players need to find clues and crack cryptic puzzles in order to complete a top-secret mission. Anyone who completes all five games by 26 August will have the option of having their name featured on Mission Camden’s online ‘Hero Board’.

Onigo, who specialise in creating escape room type games in the outdoors, has also been supported by the Camden Can Innovation Fund to create a health initiative with a difference.

Onigo founder and CEO, Alex Stanley, explains: “We are extremely proud to announce the launch of Mission Camden. Through enjoying this series of free adventure games, residents will discover some of Camden’s amazing outdoor spaces, complete up to 50% of their recommended weekly exercise and connect with friends or family.

“Onigo wouldn’t have been able to deliver Mission Camden without the support of Geovation. Their knowledge and expertise has been invaluable in guiding us through the numerous technical decisions which have been made along the way.”

Alex concludes: “This initiative fits perfectly with Onigo’s mission to enhance mental and physical health through creating fun, social and active experiences which are accessible for all.”

Mission Camden runs from Friday 14 June to Monday 26 August 2019.
