On the 15th June, catch three Geovation start-ups presenting their ventures at our Partner Hub in the Midlands, during the Tech Wednesday: Geovation Takeover meetup. The monthly meetup has been running for several years and attracts anybody and everybody from Birmingham’s tech and entrepreneurial scene. We were delighted Geovation Accelerator Programme Alumni: Noco Energy; SDX Space; and Sail Homes were invited to pitch!
Here at Geovation, we run an award-winning location data lab, supported by Ordnance Survey (OS) and HM Land Registry. Through our funded Accelerator Programmes, Geovation Challenges and other support initiatives, we’re on a mission to create Positive Impact by identifying and supporting innovative new businesses that use location or property data.
We’re supporting three of our recent Geovation Accelerator Alumni to attend – here, they will present their ventures. There will also be a chance to connect with the Geovation team, to hear more about the funded support programmes we provide etc.
NOCO is a fully integrated big data application powered by geospatial data, advanced analytics, and machine learning, designed to facilitate, and accelerate the decarbonisation of buildings. They aggregate and process hundreds of geospatial data sources, repackaged in our easy to navigate and fully customisable platform, accessible through an interactive digital twin, the NOCO Lens.
Stakeholders such as installers, developers and investors can seamlessly evaluate the most effective pathways to net-zero by assessing individual buildings and entire energy clusters, i.e. an entire primary substation catchment area. The Lens allows users to spot those ‘low hanging fruits’ that represent the best opportunities. The map can be viewed through a multiple set of ‘Lenses’ depending on the user’s market vertical or sector of interest.
SDX Space are developing a data fusion model, consisting of satellite imagery analysis, alternative supply chain tracking and ground truth data. Investors and regulators will use SDX Space’s platform to evaluate and mitigate risks for a just and sustainable energy transition.
SDX Space’s model combines data from mining and operations in the sourcing countries – using satellite imagery machine learning models – together with shipping and trade flows to increase transparency in the supply chain and to predict stockpile availability against the pledges. SDX Space’s methodology is unique in that it focuses on the data collected from countries of supply origination currently overlooked by the market.
Sail Homes are the Probate Property Experts. Their offering aims to help families who are going through probate, by selling inherited properties, giving one less stress to deal with. If there is a property in the estate of the person who’s passed away, then you will have to get that valued as part of the probate process. You may also want to sell it. That’s where Sail Homes can help.
Sail Homes value and sell properties left behind as part of an inheritance estate. They have been involved in over 30,000 property sales and are trusted by some of the biggest legal services and estate managers, having helped them sell their property at the highest price, paying fewer fees and saving valuable time along the way.
